Data storage costs are increasing due to the amount of information being generated by larger models, increased collaboration (duplication) and regulatory requirements to save data. The Solibri IFC Optimiser provides a solution by removing all redundancy from the originating IFC file with no loss of data, resulting in a file normally 5-10% of the original. It's not just file size. Pure compression (zip) will reduce a typical file size to 15-30% of the original, but will not advantage the typical loading (IFC import). With Solibri IFC Optimiser, the compressed file is only about 6% of the original file size and it will load in 17% of the original loading time (dependant on the redundancy in the original file).
